Chocolate Avocado Pudding
By Wafa — 100+ tested recipes
An amazing chocolate cream where avocado provides an incredible creaminess without tasting the fruit. A healthy, vegan, and gluten-free dessert.
Ingredients
- 2 units ripe avocados
- 50 g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 80 g maple syrup
- 60 ml milk (plant-based)
- 1 tbsp hazelnut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 pinch salt
Instructions
- 1Cut the avocados in half, remove the pits, and scoop out the flesh with a spoon.
- 2Place the avocado flesh in a mixer or blender. Add the cocoa powder, maple syrup, milk, hazelnut butter, vanilla extract, and the pinch of salt.
- 3Blend at high speed until you reach a smooth and creamy consistency. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more milk to adjust the texture.
- 4Pour the mousse into cups or ramekins and place in the refrigerator for at least one hour to firm up.
Tips
- Choose a perfectly ripe avocado with bright green flesh; avoid overripe avocados that have turned brown to prevent any bitterness.
- For some crunch, add cacao nibs, granola, or toasted hazelnuts just before serving.
Substitutions
- hazelnut butter → almond butter or cashew butter — Offers a similar mild and creamy flavor.
